2007: Boyen's made the most of his call-up for the shortened European tour with an eye-catching performance alongside Ben Sigmund (the pair had little more than 10 minutes of international experience between them before the Wrexham fixture) in the 2-2 draw with Wales on May 26.

2006: Boyens cashed in on a decorated collegiate career in the US with the University of New Mexico when he was recently drafted by MLS expansion franchise Toronto FC. The 23-year-old central defender, seen as a bright prospect, made his All Whites debut – and until now only international appearance - against Uefa Cup holders FC Sevilla in Spain last August.
