June Newsletter National Volunteer Awareness Week starts Sunday The Local Organising Committee would firstly like to thank all of the volunteers in Wellington that helped make the Draw for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup a complete success. Without your time, enthusiasm and positive attitude, the LOC would not have been able to set such high standards for us all to aim towards during the tournament. The volunteers based at the airport, Intercontinental Hotel, Te Papa and driving played a pivotal role at every level over the long weekend in Wellington and it is with great pleasure that we can pass on sincere thanks from the FIFA staff. National Volunteer Awareness Week is June 15 - 21 and to coincide with this we are holding volunteer information evenings in all regions. We can announce that the following locations, dates and times can be pencilled in to your diaries:

Please note that we are still accepting applications for all roles so please continue to inform your friends and family and help spread the word about this inaugural tournament. Those of you that have sent in your application should hear from your region over the coming weeks as they start to pair up people and roles.
