2007: The former Bradford City, Walsall and St Johnstone stopper has signed on for the Knights A-League successors the Wellington Phoenix. Pulled off two memorable saves in the 2-2 draw with Wales, a relief after being forced to pick the ball out of his own net nine times in a combined 180 minutes against Costa Rica and Venezuela in March.
2006: Paston sealed his position as the All Whites No 1 with a series of increasingly impressive performances for the now defunct New Zealand Knights in last season’s Hyundai A-League. Missed all but two of the All Whites 11 matches in 2006 due to injury.
